Mr. Dominic Mendy is a consultant with over 30 years of experience in finance, investment and policy development in trade, private sector development and public finance management. He is the national expert in strategic management in Gambia and West Africa undertaking strategic planning for The Gambia Public Procurement Authority (GPPA) and ECOWAS Commission. He previously worked as a Corporate Banking Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, The Gambia contributing to the success of the Bank. He served as Pensions Expert, Former Minister of Trade, Industry and Employment, and Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs between 1995 and 1999. He also served in the boards of Governors of the African Development Bank and the ECOWAS Fund.
Mr. Mendy holds a BSc (Hons) Accounting from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone and an MBA Corporate Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
He is the founder and CEO of Emanic Consulting.
Mr. Mendy serves as the independent consultant for Strategic Plan 2025-2029 of Government Contract Units of Malawi.
He is engaged in the National AGOA Utilization Strategy of The Gambia and National Assembly Strategic Development and Investment Plan 2024-2028.
He is resident in The Gambia and was appointed on 1st September 2015.
