Ya Kanni has a BA, in Development Studies, She has over 15 years working experience in the banking industry covering Marketing, Internal Audit, Internal Control and Compliance, Credit Administration and Risk Management.
Ya Kanni was formerly Head, Credit Administration Ecobank Gambia and has also served as Document reviewer Specialist, Availment and Disbursement Supervisor for Ecobank Centralized Regional Processing Centre (RPC) with responsibilities of overseeing Seven Ecobank Affiliates namely: Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Tanzania and Uganda.
Prior to her appoint at Ecobank, she had worked as Head Risk Management Zenith Bank and Head of Credit Administration at Oceanic Bank. Currently Ya Kanna is the Chief Risk Officer of Access Bank Gambia.
